There’s a second place called Menthonnex in the Area, Menthonnex sous Clermont (Menthonnex under Clermont). It’s on similar grounds (long rolling hills, lots of grass) but has already strong other influences. While our village leaves much more the impression of a “mountain-village” (ok, a bit), the other Menthonnex is much more dominated by classical agriculture and the closeness to the castle.
